Introduction

Canvassers from Christmas 1998
We provide a Maga-Ministry sponsored by the Ouachita Hills College for young people seeking an exciting mission experience while earning a scholarship for school.
Maga-Ministry Definition and Brief History
In 1988, the first "Magabook" (a word coined to reflect the magazine-like nature of the volumes) was published. The book, He Taught Love, was intended for use by Christian schools endeavoring to raise money for tuition and other expenses. Since that time an entire series of books has been printed and annual sales of these books by students has surpassed the $3 million mark.
The first summer Magabook program was organized in 1992 near Columbus, Ohio. One of the student leaders of that program, Eugene Prewitt, has been continually involved in the Magabook work since that time. Working with the Review and Herald, Griggs University, the Atlantic and Columbia unions, and with a number of conferences outside of these unions, Mr. Prewitt has continued to pioneer the use of these special tools to help bring the work on this earth to a speedy end. The most recent development in the work has been our five week long spring program, a program developed for home-schooling families in particular. This has been operated in 2003 and 2004 in conjunction with ASI's convention.
